4/29/11-Here's what we talked about this morning:
- I don't ask you for much, but I am going to ask you for something. If there is any way you can find it in your heart or in your budget to donate a couple of bucks to help the victims of the devastating tornadoes in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, please contact the local Red Cross. As many of you know, my wife, Princess is from Alabama. She's from Hueytown which is about halfway between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. While Hueytown was spared major damage, Pleasant Grove, slightly northwest of it wasn't. Please, do what you can. Princess says thanks.
- Last nig, ht on American Idol, Casey was kicked to the curb. Also,it was Michael Scott's last day at "The Office."
- "Twilight Saga" and "Nurse Jackie" star Peter Facinelli will be at Memorial Mall tomorrow at noon to sign autographs, take pictures and raise money for "Alex's Lemonade Stand" Foundation. I had a chance to talk to Peter about it. We'll post the interview sometime over the weekend.

- I love Facebook. Seriously. I've been able to re-connect with several old friends, some of which I haven't heard from in many years. But I have one rule: If you want to be my friend, I'd better know who you are. If not, sorry. There are some that find me paranoid. In the words of the profit Al Borland "I don't think so, Tim."

- The last typewriter factory in the world has shut its' doors. Honestly, I haven't missed typewriters since I learned to use a PC in 1988.
- Tuesday night is becoming the most competitive and perhaps exciting night on TV. While the CBS shows (NCIS, NCIS-LA and The Good Wife) all took the night off, ABC had "Dancing with the Stars" (which said goodbye to wrestler Chris Jericho) Fox had Glee (with a powerful Lady Gaga episode) and NBC debuted their new talent competition "The Voice"

They are seeking a public trial into Charlie's dismissal. That's not Charlie's only legal problem. He's still trying to get custody of his twins from ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who is currently in rehab. Ex-wife Denise Richards is willing to lend a hand. Finally, Charlie was in Washington DC recently and took a few subtle verbal shots at the President and perhaps hinted at a run of his own.
- In honor of the upcoming Royal Wedding, Papa John's has commissioned "the Royal Wedding Pizza." It's a pizza with a portrait of William and Kate i, n, pizza ingredients. You'll just have to look at the picture. This was a one shot work of art and is not something you can order.
- Kohler has a luxury toilet that costs almost $6,400. Among the features, it automatically closes and raises the adjustable-height toilet cover when it senses your presence, greets you with the sound of rushing water and soothing piano music, has a night light that guides you to the heated seat and has a floor-level vent which acts as a foot warmer. Honestly, if I could afford something like this, I'd probably keep it in a glass case in the living room.

- Okay, Mother Nature, we get it. Now knock it off.
- How much would you pay to have dinner with the President? In the case of a bunch of mucky mucks in California, try $35,800. That gets you dinner and a brief conversation with the big man himself.
- Last night on "Dancing With The Stars", Petra Nimcova was kicked to the curb. That leaves us with seven dancers halfway through the competition.
- Eventually, the weather will warm up and when it does, you and your family may take to bicycles. If you do, you should wear proper head protection. Susie from St. Nicholas Hospital joined us to tell us about a big event Saturday where you can get a bike helmet.

- Hoover has canceled a, ll of their advertisi, ng on ABC in protest of the decision to shut down "All My Children" and "One Life To Live." Said a Hoover spokesperson, "We think , it sucks."
- A Sheboygan man was about to get booted from a local hotel in which he was living. Having no where else to go, he asked police to take him to jail. They said no. The man confessed to a crime. The police said no. He slugged a cop. Now, he's in jail.
- It's the day after tax day, and Greg Anderson stopped by with "Money Talks Tips and Traps." Today, Greg talked about better tax planning. You can hear it and all of the other shows in the series here.

A woman was kicked off an Amtrack train and arrested for disorderly conduct after she refused to end a loud cell phone conversation even after being asked by train staff not to use her cell phone. Call it a victory for all of us who get annoyed by people who willfully disregard the rights of others.

She's back in jail where a judge has ordered that she get nowhere near a computer. Sounds like she needs to join the team on "Leverage."

My wife, Princess, got one the other day and it got posted all over her friends Facebook pages (including mine!) On Facebook, never share your information and your friends information with anyone wanting permission to access it. Chances are, they are trolling info.
- Last night on American Idol, Jacob was sent home.
- What's America's favorite TV show? According to a recent Harris poll, NCIS. That's followed by CSI, M*A*S*H, Two and ½ Men and Seinfeld.

4, /17/11-We had a fun today. We went to Illinois to visit my parents and to celebrate my mom and my wife Princess' birthdays. Instead of going out to eat, we stayed in and I was tasked with preparing dinner. Thanks to America's Test Kitchen, I made one of the best beef tenderloins I have ever had (no brag, my dad actually had seconds and he NEVER does that.) We also stopped by the new Marrs Cheese Castle in Kenosha. Honestly, I like the old store better.

- Winning a Super Bowl makes you popular. The Packers Aaron Rodgers #12 jersey has skyrocketed to number two in overall jersey sales.
- Last night on "American Idol". Paul became the first male sent h, ome.
- ABC has canceled two long time daytime dramas: "All My Children" and "One Life To Live". Both had run over 40 years. My wife Princess is a big fan of OLTL an, d was very angered it was being canceled. I think the only reason they didn't cancel "General Hospital" is that they are afraid of Sonny. And possibly Luke.

- The President will be holding a fund raiser in Chicago and he'll be eating Perch raised in Milwaukee. I wonder how much it costs to get into a Presidential fish fry.
- Losing weight not only makes you look better, it apparently makes you smarter.
- In what could be one of the silliest political c, orrectness moments of all time, a school system in Seattle has re-dubbed Easter Eggs as "spring spheres." Mommy, make it stop.

- Lots of storms last night. Manitowoc had a tornado warning and Sheboygan had a severe thunderstorm warning. Fortunately, everyone escaped unharmed and their was no damage or injuries.

- The Presidential race for 2012 is soon to get underway. In a straw poll among republican voters, Mitt Romney is your leader in the clubhouse followed by Donald Trump. Yes, I said Donald Trump.
- The "reboot" of the movie "Arthur" launches tomorrow. Honestly, this is one movie that needs no reboot. The original was perfect. I mean, wasn't "Arthur II" painful enough?

- A teenager in Bloomington Illinois is in hot water after she crossed the line for an April Fools joke. The girl texted friends she had been robbed and shot. But when police found her, they found she had ben neither and issued her a citation for $100 for disturbing the p, eace and a $50 ticket for playing hooky.
- It's Saturday Night Live with guest host Elton John. Elton did okay, but he's much better pounding the keyboards Leon Russell then he is doing a monologue. Tom Hanks, Jake Gyllenhaal and the Knicks Carmelo Anthony made cameos. Overall, it was just okay.
- A group of seven co-workers in upstate New York had a weekly lottery pool. It paid off a, s they were introduced as winners of a $327 million lottery pot. They'll each get $19 million after taxes.
